Deal Corner: NDA Advises on the Formation of the India Deep Tech Investment Alliance (IDTA) with $1 Billion Commitments

DEAL BRIEF

A coalition of venture capital and private equity firms from the U.S. and India today announced in the presence of Hon'ble Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, the formation of the India Deep Tech Investment Alliance (IDTA). This new industry group aims to mobilize private capital and expertise for deep tech companies in India that will strengthen U.S. - India deep tech collaboration. Founding IDTA members include Celesta Capital, Accel, Blume Ventures, Gaja Capital, Ideaspring Capital, Premji Invest, Tenacity Ventures, and Venture Catalysts.

IDTA will spur increased private investment in priority deep tech sectors with $1B USD total capital commitments to date. It builds on momentum of Government of India’s ₹1 lakh crore ($12B USD) Research Development and Innovation Scheme.
